Our Torquay branch manager Joyce Cousins was selected as a finalist for Palm FM’s local hero awards which were held last month.
Our very own Joyce was nominated for “Carer of the Year” and was awarded second place which is a fantastic achievement.
The award ceremony took place at the Imperial hotel, Torquay, on 19th September which was attended by over 500 people.
Joyce was nominated by her colleague, Sarah Hughes, for her hard work and services over the last 40 years in the care industry.
Sarah Hughes, Registered Nurse for the Torquay branch, said, “A very good night was had, it was great to meet lots of inspirational people that have made a difference to peoples lives in the area.
“I nominated Joyce for this award as I felt that she deserved to be recognised for her achievements and hard work to provide safe care to the local community”.
