Advantage Healthcare got stuck into the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning today. The team held a cake sale and dress down day to raise money for people facing cancer.

The Telford head office baked a variety of cakes, including vanilla, coffee, carrot, and cheesecake. Each one to be sold by the slice, with all money raised going to Macmillan. Various branches also took part including Cardiff, Peterborough and Torquay.

Before the sale began, a selection of the cakes had been entered into ‘The Best Cake’ competition, where they could be judged on effort and appearance before the feast began. Included in this was a very impressive triple layered salted caramel popcorn cake, a chocolate tart, a coffee cake and a carrot cake. But the overall winner was Hayley Slattery’s vanilla and white chocolate cupcakes.

As well as the cake sale, members of the team were invited to wear casual clothing to work, rather than business dress. Those wishing to wear casual clothing were asked to make a small donation.

Thanks to the talent of the bakers, and the generosity of everyone involved, we have raised much-needed donations for Macmillan. Once the funds have been counted, we will announce the grand total.
